Ann Vivian

Ann Vivian, AIA, NCARB, earned Architecture and Fine Arts degrees from Rhode Island School of Design.  Ann’s professional interest in spaces for worship is underscored by membership in the Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art and Architecture and the Fellowship of Architects of the United Church of Christ (a member of the Steering Committee).  In 2001 she earned a Masters in Theology and the Arts degree from Andover Newton Theological School.  Ann was a long-time member of the Burlington Design Review Board, serving as its Chair for five years.  She is Vice-President of Preservation Burlington and former President of AIA/Vermont.

Ms. Vivian has designed many wonderful spaces for worship, meditation and reflection in Vermont and the eastern U.S.  Her work with residential and institutional clients also reflects her ability to define their needs and realize their dreams in physical space through texture, light and volume.  She has won historic preservation awards for an addition to the Ronald McDonald House in Burlington, and Trinity Church renovation in Shelburne, Vermont, and an AIA Design Award for new office space.
